Kids Save Apes

Gorillas are the largest of the great apes,but won't hurt a human unless threatened. Gorillas are gentle vegetarians and live in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Rwanda ,Uganda, the Burundi-Rwanda-Uganda border,Nigeria,Equatorial Guinea,Gabon and in Cameroon. The threats to gorillas are humans clearing the forests for farming, logging, and roads, hunting, wars,and diseases like the Ebola Virus. There are many sub-species, the Western/Eastern Lowland,and Mountain Gorillas. Cross rivers and Bwindi gorillas are found, but are rare. Gorillas are beautiful creatures and it is up to us to respect and protect them so they will continue to live among these forests.
